Whilst on my 2 week break in NYC I visited lots of vintage, antique and designer markets. “Artists & Fleas” inside Chelsea Market was one of the best – with a wide range of pop-up markets showcasing the best in independent Brooklyn art, design, and vintage finds that offer a magical alternative to the traditional, retail experience.

Artists & Fleas is located directly beneath the High Line, New York’s elevated railway line turned urban walkway and sculpture park – also worth a visit! Once you’ve worked up an appetite, Chelsea Market has plenty of small cafes and food purveyors. Its location in the heart of the Meatpacking District makes it a ‘stones throw’ from restaurants, bars and Diane Von Furstenburg’s retail store, well worth a visit if you like couture fashion, as well as a scenic path along the Hudson River.  If I’ve not sold you on this part of NYC, here are a few of photos from my day out:
